Our Environmental technologies team are leaders in the development and use of technologies to monitor aquatic health and biosecurity.

We are seeking a junior scientist with a background in molecular ecology in an aquatic context to lead and contribute to research and commercial projects.

A post graduate degree in biological sciences and at least 3 years relevant laboratory experience including the use of molecular analyses and Next-Generation Sequencing techniques is required.

We are looking for a self managed person who works well in a team with strong problem solving, data analysis and communication skills. 

This is a fulltime permanent role based in Nelson and an opportunity to join New Zealand’s largest independent research organization.
